so.. here comes quarter 2 earnings again. nervous???... every reason 2 b. stocks have soared so high on both bse n nse that even the most bullish guy in d street will reconsider if to push his horns forward. d usual doubt.. if this earning season is going 2 b good good 2, are these stock prices going 2 rise again. "ohh my god they cant go more higher as they have gone up already" ...
fundamentally there is no reason for the stocks to go up. n thats the truth. but here is d irony, the results season is here now. with nifty already in d touching distance of 5100 n sensex over 17000. we are in really for a blast if quarter 2 earnings are anywhere near expectations.
so wats in for an ordinary person, i say there's plenty if u are unemployed like me n hav time to kill n a demat account.. ( i wouldnt had time to write a blog otherwise, with undue respect to fellow bloggers) belive me u can get rid of d tension of the diwali expenditures . unless u dont have any plans for expenditures or are a kanjoos like me.
coming back to the aam aadmi. just get up at 7. look out in paper, internet, which company is going to declare its result that day. pick 3-4 names u have heard off b4. there are 4900 of dem in bse n 1300 in nse. choose any 3-4 evryday , yeah using numerology , nameology(??)
. serach for its previous quarter result, n of d same quarter in d previous year.. note it down ( unless u are shakuntala devi).. turn on ur tv, any good financial channel. ( yipee doordarshan doesnt have one). if its better than previous quarter , n matchn the number the suited guy at the channel had expected ...just buy at watever rate it is quoting. n sell within 2-3 minutes.. cz if u hold onto it for too long , there is a chance that unemployed guys like u( grls are never unemployed... i havent seen any yet) will sell b4 u n pull the price down. n if d results are bad , not up2 d mark. then just short it. means sell . the good thing about stock markets is dat it allows u 2 sell sumthng evn if u dont have one... so a bunty n bubly selling a taj mahal without owning is legal here. but the thing is dat u will have to buy the same stock on d same day ... ofcourse at a lesser rate.
banking , auto stocks... they are going 2 b the flavour of the season . arrey festival season . happy diwali.
